MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Friday that free rides would be provided on all major rail lines in Metro Manila following the suspension of classes due to heavy rains.
The DOTr said the free rides would cover the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3), the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1), and the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2), starting at 12 p.m. on Friday.

“The safety of passengers is our priority. We want to ensure that commuters can return home quickly and safely,” the agency said in a public advisory.
